Chinese New Year Mandarin Orange Lantern

Description:

Lets celebrate this Chinese New Year with this Mandarin Orange Lantern.

 

What you'll need:

1. Orange color paper 80gm A4 x 1

2.  Scissor

3.  Paper cup (or other circle item )

4.  Pencil

5.  Gold color string

6.  Gold color sequin
7.  White glue
8.  Buttons
9.  Puncher
10. 20cm Straw

Step 1 - Fold the orange paper as shown below:

Step 2 - Use Pencil and Paper cup to trace out a circle, use Scissor to cut out the circles.

Step 3 - Now you will get 8 circles from the orange paper.

 

Step 4 - Fold the paper into half as shown.

Step 5 - Glue in the middle of the crease as shown below:

Step 6 - You will get the shape as shown in the following like a lantern.

Step 7 - Use Gold color sequin to add some decoration.

Step 8 - Use Scissor to cut the straw into strips as shown.



Step 9 - Use Gold color string to tie through the button as shown.

Step 10 - Put the string through the middle of the orange lantern and it is DONE!
