Paper Craft: Creative Card for Teachers Day

Difficulty: Easy
Age: 5 and up (with help from adults for smaller age kids)

Description:
Teacher’s Day is just around the corner. Wish to thank your teachers for their selfless guidance but yet hard to find a unique card to express your gratitude?
How to be different from others?
Relax! Just take a walk out in the nature, at a park or at your garden, pick up some tiny wild flowers and weeds, and you'll be surprise what you can make out of it.
Here’s how easy you can blend the green from the nature into your little creation.

 What you'll need:
1. A piece of 120gm A4 size color paper or fancy card
2. A piece of 80gm A4 size paper
3. 2-inches wide transparent adhesive tape
4. 2 stripes of pattern present wrapper
5. A piece of transparent plastic
6. Glue
7. Scissors

 How to make it:

1. First of all, collect some tiny flowers and small weeds from the park or garden.

2. Select some of your favourites and trim the flowers to the size you want. Keep the bigger weeds for the main motive and prepare the tiny flowers for the decorations.

3. Lay the tiny flowers on the white A4 paper. Arrange the flowers with some gap in between.

4. Stick the flowers on the paper with the transparent adhesive tape.

5. Stick as many as you need, and it'll look something like in the picture on the left.

6. Cut the tiny flowers out from this paper according to the shape you like. It can be a heart shape or any other shape at random. Keep these flowers for decoration of the card at a later stage.

7. Then, we will need to prepare the main motive for the card. Fold the colour card into half at the middle.

8. Arrange the selected weeds that are larger than those tiny little flowers on the colour card.

9. Apply some glue at the bottom of the weeds along the main branch of the weeds till its roots to make the weeds stay in place.

10. Cut the piece of plastic paper to a size larger than the weeds so that it can cover the weed as a protection.

11. Apply white glue on the edges of the plastic paper and stick on top of the weeds.

12. Stick the cut flowers from Step 6 as decoration on the card at random as you wish. It will look as in the picture on the left.

13. Lastly stick the strips of present paper as the frame for the flowers on the front of the card, and yes, it's done!!

Tips:
1. You may choose to replace these tiny wild flowers and weeds with any flowers purchase from any florists.

2. This card can be easily modified to be used for any other occasion.
